Overview
Griddle has released the ability to edit teachers attending a published event. This will remove the need to unpublish the event, which results in the loss of associated class covers.
Events tab
You can now add/remove teachers on a published event, updating data in the Changes and Substitute tab.
a) SCENARIO: Add a new teacher to a published event
Go to the event
Go to Teachers tab>Add Teacher
The selected teacher is added to the event. An associated entry has been added to the changes tab with reason event and any resultant classes requiring cover will be seen in the Substitution tab.
b) SCENARIO: Remove a teacher from a published event. The teachers' classes have been covered in the substitution tab.
Go to the event
Go to Teachers tab>Click on the context menu>Remove
A warning modal appears
Yes - The teacher change and existing class covers in the Substitute tab will be retained.
Reason - Only appears when yes is selected. Select the new absence reason for the teacher. The teacher change will be edited for this teacher with the newly selected absence reason.
No - The teacher change and associated classes in the Substitute tab will be removed.
Approve - Save
The selected teacher is removed from the event and the associated teacher change has been removed or edited.
c. SCENARIO: Remove a teacher from a published event. The teachers' classes have not been covered in the substitution tab.
Go to the event
Go to Teachers tab>Click on the context menu>Remove
The selected teacher is removed from the event. The associated teacher change and any related classes in the Substitute tab will be removed.
Changes tab
You can now add a teacher absence for a teacher on a published event, updating data in the substitute and events tabs.
a) SCENARIO: Add a teacher change for the whole duration of the event.
A teacher has called in sick. This teacher is scheduled to attend an event, the duration of the event is less than the duration of the teacher's absence.
Go to Changes tab>Add absence
A warning modal appears
Yes - Existing class covers in the Substitute tab will be retained
No - Existing class covers in the Substitute tab will be cleared
Approve - Save
The selected teacher is removed from the event and the associated teacher change has been edited with the new absence reason.
b. SCENARIO: Add a teacher change for a portion of the event's duration. The teachers' classes have not been covered in the substitution tab.
A teacher has called in sick. This teacher is scheduled to attend an event, the duration of the event is greater than the duration of the teacher's absence.
Go to Changes tab>Add absence
A warning modal appears.
This change must be recorded through the event first.
Click Go to Event
Go to Teachers tab>Click on the context menu>Edit
Go back to Changes tab>Add absence for the teacher.
The selected teacher’s attendance on the event has been edited and the teacher change has been added.
c. SCENARIO: Add a teacher change for a portion of the event’s duration. The teachers' classes have been covered in the substitution tab.
A teacher has called in sick. This teacher is scheduled to attend an event, the duration of the event is greater than the duration of the teacher's absence.
This change must be made through the event itself.
Click Go to Event
Go to Teachers tab>Click on the context menu>Edit
Edit the teachers attendance on the event.
A warning modal appears.
Click Cancel, no changes are made to teacher attendance on the event.
Click Continue, changes are saved to teacher attendance on the event.
