Request your eduHub service account
Applies to: All.
In order to import user data from CASES21 you will need to enable eduHub for read and write.
To enable your school’s CASES21 data to automatically sync into the Compass portal as well as write back your attendance data from Compass back into CASES21, please request this from servicedesk@edumail.vic.gov.au
Make sure the service account has Read and Write permissions. Keep the data location, username and password handy: you will use them when setting up CompassLink in the next step.
Install CompassLink
CompassLink connects your Compass portal to CASES21, so your staff, students and parents sync into Compass automatically. You need it installed before you can import your people in Setup Centre.

Once CompassLink is installed and running, you can import your people in Setup Centre.

Select Import people.
Follow the prompts to set up CompassLink and start the sync from CASES21.
Your import is queued. Check its progress under Import jobs.

Good to know:
CompassLink syncs overnight, every night, so changes made in CASES21 flow into Compass automatically.
If someone is missing after the import, check their record in CASES21. The User Mapping Guide: CASES21 (VIC Gov) article explains which fields Compass uses.

To confirm your login settings
In Setup Centre, select Authentication setup.
Check the Department of Education SSO details shown.
Enter your School Code into the Login Group Format String field.
Click Save Settings
Using a different login method, such as Active Directory through CompassLink?
Select it from the dropdown and configure as required.
