Student Balances Simplified
From September 30th, parents will manage their own Outstanding Balance for school lunches, repaid directly to your school. This means clearer reporting, less admin, and greater flexibility to set your own negative balance limits with no cap.
Parents will clearly see two balances in Compass:
🔹 Compass Balance - funds available for canteen, clubs and more
🔹 Outstanding Balance - unpaid meal orders
If you wish, you can restrict top-ups so that parents must clear any outstanding payments before adding funds.

Need SLT approval before inviting students on a school trip? Simply add SLT to the Notification Chain at template level and tick ‘Requires Approval’. Senior leaders can then review, approve, and publish the trip details directly to parents - saving time and keeping the process seamless.
