Attendance

Daily Tip

From the Half Day Attendance Grid, use the Filter Tool to quickly filter for “N” codes. This highlights which students have been marked as not present for morning registration, without an explanation. You can then right click on the cell to efficiently add attendance notes for any absent students.

Weekly Tip

Set up an 'Attendance % by Cohort' widget as part of your Pulse Dashboard. This widget gives a live overview of class attendance, helping you easily spot which class has the best attendance for the week - perfect for recognising great attendance habits and encouraging friendly competition.

Termly Tip

When sending out Attendance communications in Chronicle, use the {attendancethisterm} placeholder. This automatically pulls each student’s current attendance percentage for the term, making it simple to provide parents with accurate, personalised updates.

Selling Tickets in Shop

Planning a School event? Whether it’s a Christmas show, end-of-term disco, or Christmas carol evening, Compass Shop is the perfect way to manage your tickets!

Use the Shop to easily track who has purchased tickets and monitor payments - it works for both free and paid items.

Supporting Every Student with Chronicle

At Compass, we understand that every student’s learning journey is unique. One way that Chronicle, our behaviour and wellbeing module can be utilised, is to support your school’s processes in nurturing each student’s individual needs and strengths.

One of the resources available within Chronicle Content is the Student Passport template - a practical tool designed to help teachers, students, and parents work together to create a complete picture of a learner’s profile.

To download this template, navigate to the ‘Administration’ tab within Chronicle.
Select ‘Templates’, then click on ‘Compass Content’.
All available templates, including the Student Passport template referenced above, can be accessed and added to your portal from this section.
