Boost Efficiency with New Census Enhancements
There are some exciting new updates in the Census module that significantly improve usability and make the overall experience smoother and easier.
See below for the new enhancements:
When you open the Census Dashboard, you will see some improvements to point you in the direction of the data needs attention.
The 🔴 red indicators highlight specific areas that require attention before running the Generate census files process, allowing you to address errors and queries in advance. Always remember to work through each tab systematically to clear your errors.
The Errors & queries button provides direct access to a consolidated list of all current errors and queries, allowing these to be reviewed and resolved prior to running the Generate census files process, which is required once all errors have been cleared.

Staff Contracts
Making light work of Staff Contracts
Our Staff Contracts module shows all staff who have ever been employed by your school. Using the filter button, you can reduce the number of staff that are displayed:
The filter button can be used in a number of ways - the most utilised one is filtering out staff who no longer work at your school.
Additional filters can be added in here - just try clicking '+ Add filter' to narrow your search results down further.
To remove any filters that you have applied in this screen, simply click on the 'x' to the left of the column name.
Pulse Dashboards
Why reinvent the wheel when proven solutions already exist?
Ready made Pulse dashboards exist within Compass for you to download and amend to suit your school requirements.
Please Note: You need to have PulseAdmin permissions to be able to utilise this feature.
Navigate to Pulse
Select 'Add dashboard from template'
A list of all the dashboard templates that are available to be used are then displayed
If there are any dashboard templates that you would like to be created in Pulse for your school, click on the name
We recommend utilising dashboards with (UK-PRI) in the name as they are most relevantA pop-up box will then appear where you will need to give the dashboard a unique name; change any Visibility permissions and add any filters across the dashboard - for example - you only require Active Students to be displayed, add this in
Once you have completed all the information required, click on 'Add dashboard'
Your new dashboard will then be created and you can then tailor this to your schools specific requirements

Using Compass to Strengthen Data Analysis and School Improvement
